If timing or cash flow is the issue, I'm open to splitting it into installments. Until it's settled I'll need to pause any new work on the account. I'd much rather keep working together, so please let me know where things stand. If you need me to resend the invoice or the payment details, just reply and I'll send them straight over. Want Chaser to send these for you automatically?
Chaser is a tool we’re building. It will send this same sequence from your own email on the schedule you pick, and stop as soon as the invoice is paid. It’s pre-launch: join the waitlist and we’ll email you once when early access opens.
Tips for getting paid without the awkwardness
- Make paying easy. Put the amount, the due date, and a payment link or bank details in every reminder.
- Assume good faith first. Most late invoices are forgotten or stuck in someone’s inbox, not refused.
- Ask for a date, not just money. “When can I expect it?” gets more replies than “Please pay.”
- Escalate calmly. Days 3, 7, and 14 is a common rhythm. Offer installments before anything else.
- Stop the moment they pay. A reminder that arrives after payment undoes all the goodwill.
